Picking scenarios can be needlessly complicated in Microsoft Dynamics 365 for Business Central because it’s not designed for the food and beverage industry. For example, if a shop floor worker needs to pick 24 kilograms of an ingredient that is stored in 25 kilogram bags, the standard Dynamics 365 for Business Central application won’t permit it. Issues also exist with under-picking: if a worker picks less than the expected quantity, the application will present the difference as remaining production demand. This shouldn’t be the default, especially when the under-pick quantity is within an allowed tolerance.
Let Your Production Picking Reflect Reality
Aptean Production Over Pick for Food and Beverage allows you to define over and under-picking tolerance percentages on your production BOM lines. Visibility into these tolerances is presented on warehouse pick documents, allowing employees to understand the parameters. If an over-picked quantity is within tolerance, the application will permit the activity to occur. If an under-picked quantity falls within tolerance, the remaining quantity on the related component line will be zeroed out. Aptean Production Over-Pick for Food and Beverage can also be combined with Aptean Shop Floor for Food and Beverage, which uses over- or under-pick setup to ensure actual consumption is within allowed tolerances.Key Features
